Series: Maximum Ride, Book 2
Rate (On a scale of 1-10): 7
The heart-stopping quest of six winged kids--led by fourteen-year-old Max--to find their parents and investigate the mind-blowing mystery of their ultimate destiny continues when they're taken under the wing of an FBI agent and attempt, for the first time, to live "normal" lives.
But going to school and making friends doesn't stop them from being relentlessly hunted by sinister spies, who lead Max to face her most frightening match yet: a new and better version of herself.
Still loving this series. The flock's story continues. We learn a few more characteristics about each of the flock. Including jealousy, between my favorite couple. ;) As if that isn't obvious. Max goes on a DATE! Holy hell. And there's more kissing.
There's another Max too! And we find some interesting things about Ari. He's a lot like Sebastian in City of Fallen Angels if you can get that reference. It's odd. I'm saying that and I'm from Kentucky, mind you, and I'm saying it's weird. Kentucky. You know? The hillbilly state? Yeah. Anyway.
More action, which is excellent. I hate a lot of pointless description, and thankful this book doesn't have it. What it does have is action, romance, tough girls, kids with wings, and explosives. :D
I still like Fang, of course. :) I wish he said more though. That's be nice. I think he should be sarcastic. Just my opinion.
The only reason I was only a tiny weeny bit disappointed is the lack of romance between my favorite coupling. But there is still a connection, that was apparent, so it wasn't that big of a disappointment.
I give it four out of five stars. Because it's awesome. :)
